Different Brains

Have you realized that not everyone thinks the same as you? It took me a very long time to understand that my insights, knowledge and ability were DIFFERENT than most others. I lived much of my professional life thinking that everyone was on the same page, moving in the same direction, with the same information and decision making ability that I had. I could always immediately see solutions and outcomes. I could make things happen quickly. It could be chaos and uncomfortable for my peers and teams. My leader let me know that I needed to work on “bringing others along.” That was the nice way of putting it. (Everlasting gratitude to T.V.) As it turns out, my brain is different - neurodivergent. And when I worked with others who, in hindsight, were also neurodivergent, it was MAGIC for me. The most fun. Many leaders in tech, education and medicine are also neurodivergent and these leaders have become something of a specialty in my consulting practice. I am uniquely able to understand and support them. If you have leaders who are brilliant and need help leading teams, I am here for you. Take care, Jen
